Some people are fans of certain game types. They are always excited to try and find new ways to play the game. Others would just be satisfied with playing the same thing repeatedly until they get sick of it. I fall into that second group for games for some reason. I enjoy being a completionist more than anything else, so I'm always happy when my favorite games have expansions that offer me new content with which to enjoy them! Bloons TD 6 was released in November 2017 as an expansion pack for Bloons TD 5. It's a tower defence game that takes elements of tower defence and tower destruction games. Bloons TD 6 features new towers, new game modes, and several improvements over previous games in the series. It also features several new types of Bloons that were introduced in Bloons TD 5. Let's take a look at them!

Bloons TD 6 is a tower defence game where the player must prevent Bloons from reaching the end of a track.

The gameplay is divided into rounds, with each round having 3 stages: pre-round, mid-round, and post-round. The pre-round is where you decide whether you are going to play for that round or not.

You can buy towers and upgrades before starting each round by using money earned in past rounds. Once you have finished your setup, you begin the mid-round stage, where monkeys attack your newly bought towers (or existing ones if they were upgraded) and attempt to reach the end of a track lined with more towers.

After the mid-round ends, the end of the round is triggered. All the monkey Bloons on your track is destroyed, and you receive money based on how much of your track they made it to. You also receive money if a monkey reaches a random tower that is not near the end.

In addition, if you have Impenetrable towers in your track, monkeys will also pay money to destroy them even if they do not reach an end tower.

The post-round stage is where you can build any towers or upgrades you wish before any new Bloons are decided to be in that round next time. Clocked and Unclocked towers (among others) can be used here as well.

Once you have finished, you earn money based on how much of your track was destroyed. This can be spent on buying towers, upgrades, or monkeys.

Some new towers are now available in Bloons TD 6. They are:

Clocks

These towers will track the time a monkey takes to go through all the way around a tower and calculate how much he/she costs to destroy each round. When a monkey reaches the end of a clock tower, it is destroyed, and all its stats are transferred to the Monkey that attempts to reach it. This requires the purchase of Clocks first before any other upgrades may be purchased for that tower type.

Cold Towers

Cold Towers have twice as many HP points as regular towers, but if they are destroyed, they also have a chance to freeze monkeys (not all monkeys will be frozen).

Strategies of playing Bloons TD 6

One new method in Bloons TD 6 is the ability to use several towers at once instead of only one tower per track. This gives players more options and makes tracks much more powerful.

Players are also able to use the Impenetrable Towers now to make a track harder to defeat. When players place these towers first in their track, they receive more money at the end of each round based on how many monkeys made it through them.

They do not receive anything if monkeys destroy these towers by doing nothing like any other tower, though!

Bloons TD 6 offers several changes to the gameplay and strategy it has over previous games in the series. While it is not as good as the rest of the series, fans of tower defence games will certainly enjoy the new content.
